James Benjamin Brewster (older brother to Henry Brewster) and Theodore E. Baldwin form Brewster & Baldwin. Eventually the firm became J.B. Brewster Co. in 1870.

In Paris, France, the first school of carriage drafting opens with Albert DuPont and Brice Thomas. William Brewster attended this school during the 1880’s. Part of William’s journal was printed in the World on Wheels, Vol 6.
