Messrs. J. B. Brewster & Company, the well-known carriage-builders, of 25th Street, New York City, have recently adopted a very unique trade mark to render carriages of their manufacture readily distinguishable from all others. The custom hertofore of marking the hub-caps with black has been discarded by them. Their new device is a metallic surface hub-cap, lettered or otherwise marked with a color that corresponds with the color of the carriage striping. The metallic surface hub-cap will generally be marked with a combination of colors or of a color with black. While they will not confine their trade mark necessarily to any of these special features, their proposition is to adopt broadly the metallic surface hub cap, lettered or otherwise marked as specified. The new device adds to the beauty of the carriage, and is a distinctive feature as well. Trade with this firm is reported exceptionally brisk since good weather set in.
